David Muise, President

David Muise is the National Practice Leader with the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) group at Pinchin Ltd.  As National Practice Leader, David’s focus is on the technical performance of his team, to ensure that clients receive consistent and responsive superior service in every region and across Pinchin’s Indoor Environmental Quality offerings. David works closely with clients in several sectors, including: commercial, institutional, health care, education, and construction. He also works closely with the firm’s local offices to support national and local clients, as an integral partner in ongoing maintenance and compliance.

Erica Boudreau, Past President

I am an energetic and caring industrial hygienist with over 8 years of experience both in private industry and government. Outside of work you can often find me spending quality time with my husband and daughter either exploring the beautiful east coast or cooking/baking up a new recipe.  Currently I am on parental leave until 2024.

Stewart Sampson, Secretary

Stewart has been involved in OH&S for over 40 years. He has been certified since 1987 (and certifiable a lot longer ). He is also a CRSP.

Stewart spent some time in the mining and petrochemical industries. But most of his career was with the OH&S Division of the NS Department of Labour (through its interminable name changes   ). He currently owns his own consulting company - New Wave OH&S Services.

Stewart is married with two children, two grandchildren and a grandpuppy.

Ben Curren, Treasurer

Ben Curren is a relatively new industrial hygienist having just completed his ROH certification. He currently works with the Nova Scotia Health Authority as an Occupational Hygienist and received his education from Dalhousie University. His spare time is spent being a homebody playing tabletop games with friends.

Pamela Sears, NS Director

Pamela Sears is a Senior Industrial Hygienist with Stantec Consulting Ltd.  She has over 25 years of experience in the field of industrial hygiene, beginning her career in the northern regions of western Canada before eventually migrating eastward.  Since joining Stantec (formerly Jacques Whitford Ltd.) in 2004, Pamela has provided senior oversight of industrial hygiene studies in a wide diversity of workplaces.  As she is not wont to take selfies on a regular basis, she offers a glimpse into her sideline occupation, cat rescue instead, as it is probably a more apt reflection of her persona.

Orven Newhook, NL Director

Roberto Sgrosso, NB Director

Katriona MacNeil, PE Director

Katriona MacNeil is an Occupational Hygienist with WCB PEI. MacNeil has 15+ years of OHS experience in government and industry roles. MacNeil holds a Master’s Degree from McGill University in Occupational Health (2013) and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) (2016).

When not at work, MacNeil spends her time shuttling around 2 boys and living her best life.
